Using the GuppyFriend wash bag reduces friction between materials and limits the release of microplastics: it retains up to 90% of these microparticles. These fragments measure no more than 5 mm in length, yet their effect on aquatic fauna and flora is extremely harmful. By reducing the friction of the materials, the wash bag also helps to preserve the fibers of the textile, ensuring a longer life! This works for both synthetic and natural materials, whose fibers are treated and may also contain plastic micro-particles.
