Grenadine Checkmate

The checkerboard resembles paint, whether glossy or matt, and the colours are in battle. Two colours strategists: the dreamy purples and their rivals, the whites. Which color will overthrow the King? They lend themselves to the game and fight in cadence for victory. Fatal error, the purples exclaim: Checkmate! For this print, I let my brush move like the pawns on the checkerboard, from one square to another, gliding over the white ones as it patiently builds its strategy.
