Using the GuppyFriend wash bag reduces friction between materials and limits the release of microplastics: it retains up to 90% of these microparticles. These fragments measure no more than 5 mm in length, yet their effect on aquatic flora and fauna is extremely harmful. By reducing material friction, the wash bag also preserves textile fibers, ensuring they last longer! This applies to both synthetic and natural materials, whose fibers are treated and may also contain plastic micro-particles.
