Echec et Mat Avocat
The checkerboard resembles paint, whether glossy or matte, colours are in battle. Two colours strategists: the dreamy greens and their competitors, the whites. Which color will overthrow the King? They lend themselves to the game and fight in rhythm to win. A fatal error, as the greens exclaim: Checkmate! For this print, I let my brush move like the pawns on the checkerboard, from one square to another, gliding over the white pieces as it patiently builds its strategy.
